2003 Joined Global Dining Inc., known for Gonpachi—the motif for the film Kill Bill—and La Bohem, a key player in shaping Japan’s restaurant scene.
Worked as GM, Unit Manager overseeing multiple stores, and instructor for La Bohem service operations. In 2009, participated in the launch of Global Dining Macau. From 2011, transferred to the U.S. as GM Manager of Gonpachi at Global Dining California Inc., starting a food and beverage career in America.
2012 Appointed CEO of Iteam Restaurant Group Inc.
As U.S. CEO of Hotland Co., Ltd. (formerly Iteam Inc.), managed restaurant operations for three years. Also involved in launching new stores and consulting on the U.S. business for the current Asrapport Kimukatsu brand.
2015 Established SAPE LLC.
Appointed CEO/Partner of AFURI USA INC.
Opened AFURI IZAKAYA in Portland, Oregon—the first overseas AFURI location.
2018 Established Poartafui LDA in Lisbon, Portugal.
Appointed CEO. Marked the company’s first entry into Europe, expanding to two locations.
Established AFURI Franchise Inc. Appointed CEO. Launched the new concept AFURI ramen + dumpling and began franchise development.

2021–2024 Appointed CEO of Tanaka International Inc. Launched TANAKA, a katsu sandwich brand, as a joint venture with Kushikatsu Tanaka Holdings Co., Ltd. Opened the first directly managed store in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently operating 3 stores in Portland, USA.
